  • Experience with industrial automation such as conveyors, stages, pneumatics, metrology, machine vision cameras or robotic assembly.
  • Experience in a mechanical design tool such as Solidworks, NX, or Creo.

You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects using engineering knowledge. You will also plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life-cycle. You will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving the technical directions of programs.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on system level Design for Manufacturability, lead DFM and PFMEA activities to ensure prospective product and process issues are identified and mitigated.
  • Identify and investigate emerging technologies, assess and quantify manufacturing capability improvements, and technology maturity.
  • Implement manufacturing processes through continuous improvement of assembly tooling, automated equipment, and contract manufacturing partners.
  • Develop manufacturing and NPI (New Product Introduction) processes via cross-functional collaboration with Product Design, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure manufacturability and product quality.
  • Assess manufacturing processes through the use of statistical methods and Six Sigma techniques, define data collection requirements, identify root causes of yield loss, manufacturing process non-conformities and implement necessary corrective actions.
