Technical Program Manager II, Hardware Manufacturing Operations, Cloud Supply Chain

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with hardware manufacturing operations in a data center environment, the automotive industry, or the aviation industry.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or other relevant field.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in multiple aspects of hardware operations.
  • Experience in Design and Manufacturing in a new product introduction (NPI) role.
  • Knowledge about typical hardware BOMs, process documentation and assembly and test processes.

About the job

As Hardware Manufacturing Operations Technical Program Manager, you will be the primary Operations/Supply Chain interface to the product development and deployment teams with the responsibility for driving operations and new product development as well as supporting those products through production ramp, sustainment, and end of life. You will lead a team of professionals to ensure products are designed and built to Google standards.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional Program teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp or product transitions.
  • Plan and execute operations development activities and ensure transition to production within cost, quality, and capacity parameters, and ensure production ramp meeting program goals.
  • Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (e.g., material availability, cost/assembly/test/BOM/capacity readiness and transition plans).
  • Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific strategic reasons, while accounting for risks, changes in schedule, or demand.
