Strategic Insights Lead, Large Customer Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing research, analytics, or consulting.
  • 5 years of experience creating and presenting customer-facing materials (e.g., pitches, narratives, or one-sheets) for sales teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience presenting in front of senior executives and large audiences. Experience with preparing client-ready presentations in tight time frames.
  • Experience driving work separately working cross-functionally to influence priorities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing.
  • Excellent communication and story-telling skills; Experience with hypothesis-driven thinking to shape compelling client presentations.
  • Excellent communication, project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with data to derive insights and articulate data into stories that resonate at scale.

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. As a Strategic Insights Lead (SIL), you'll serve as a strategic thought partner to sales teams through data-driven storytelling and actionable insights for positive client growth and relationship outcomes. You will join a fast-paced cross-vertical team that has a front-row seat for the AI and digital transformation underway across the top advertisers in Canada. You will have the opportunity to develop scalable, client-centered stories built with insights to position Google as a strategic thought leader. You will also oversee the development of end-to-end custom research in order to uncover novel and actionable ideas that optimally position Google’s product offerings and drive business strategies.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of scalable vertical narratives (e.g., CPG vertical) that enable success for the team in priority areas.
  • Lead consumer-focused primary research programs to unlock new growth opportunities for the vertical.
  • Advocate storytelling principles and high-quality visualization, enabling the vertical to elevate their customer conversations.
  • Embed AI in the way you work to surface insights with speed and scale. 
  • Collaborate closely with peer SILs, account teams and Heads of Industry to shape an insights calendar, prioritize client opportunities and deliver strategic goals.
