Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience with cloud infrastructure, working with infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, or software as a service.
  • Experience with migrating and modernizing applications to the Cloud.
  • Experience building solutions with databases and data processing frameworks on databases like Postgres, Spanner, Oracle, Kafka, Spanner.
  • Experience coding in Python, scripting (e.g., terraform), using OSS frameworks and leveraging generative AI technologies (e.g., Gemini Code assist, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) in modernizing applications.
  • Experience with container orchestrators such as Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience in a software/systems engineering or lead position.
  • Experience with database related frameworks to execute customer use cases across migration and modernization.
  • Experience with running services in production, including data, model and service lifecycle management.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and tools to accelerate adoption, consistency and auditability.
  • Experience architecting core cloud services, compute, storage, and networking to support customer use cases and requirements.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

In this role, you will work with customers and Google Engineering teams to produce secure and scalable technical solutions and distribute them via multiple channels, including technical white papers, open-source repositories, webinars, etc. You will empower audience of decision makers to adopt the Google Cloud to build what’s next for their businesses. As a Solutions Architect, you will work with a variety of customers across industries to help them optimize their business use cases with Google Cloud. You will create technical solution assets to help customers securely deploy these alongside other cloud technologies and present these solutions to customers. You will work with Product and Engineering teams that focus on these technologies to identify opportunities to reduce friction and increase adoption.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$263,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate technical discussions with customers, partners, and Googlers.
  • Provide subject matter expertise around public cloud and Core Infrastructure, and effectively promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
  • Support account managers and Business Engineering teams as needed through all phases of customer engagement.
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations adapted for technical and business stakeholders.
  • Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to help shape product direction.
