Minimum qualifications:

- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming.
- Experience with Kotlin.
- Experience using Design Patterns and Data Structures.
- Experience with backend development building services and platforms using Java.

The Data Flow and Device Management team is responsible for building the backend infrastructure that helps power an interface between the Android and iOS mobile operating systems and the Fitbit and Google wearables. The team provides an integrated user experience which covers everything from the initial device setup to everyday personalization options, including advanced management of devices, notifications and network communication.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software, working towards meeting the specific project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Practice, uphold, and promote high quality and reliability standards and implement unit and integration tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, implement, and ship new features and products.
- Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Share team on-call responsibilities.
