Minimum qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in marketing and leading marketing teams and budgets across multiple product areas.
- Experience leading regional and local marketing campaigns including traditional and digital media, social media, and influencer driven campaigns.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish and English fluently to support client and stakeholder relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in creative judgment, technology or online industry.
- Experience in B2C and B2B marketing, and performance and brand marketing.
- Analytical skills and the ability to develop market insights, marketing strategy and analyze campaign effectiveness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills, including ability to influence wide audiences at all levels, work effectively across functions and geographies, and build bridges with peers and organizations beyond their own.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, and proven ability to attract, nurture, and grow talent.
- Track record of effectively delivering multiple and innovative projects in a fast moving environment.
About the job
As Country Marketing Director of Mexico, you will run the marketing of Google products in Mexico and are a critical member of the Mexico leadership team. You will work with a cross-functional team across Sales, Government Affairs and Public Policy, and Communications.
You’ll work across Google’s portfolio of products and services, including new product launches and local activation of key global campaigns throughout the year. In addition, you will manage a marketing team providing leadership, mentorship, a creative culture and direction to implement marketing campaigns. Working closely with large cross-functional team members and colleagues you will ensure that the marketing solution is right for the customer, the brand, and the business.
As a marketing leader, you will work with a cross-functional team and inspire a team of partners by sharing ideas and developing effective solutions. You will be equally comfortable leading through influence, motivating your direct marketing team.

Responsibilities
- Advocate for the needs of the market in a fast-changing and dynamic international company, as a member of the Mexico Leadership team.
- Provide local market expertise and insights through deep understanding of consumer, industry and competitive behavior. Develop and deliver Google's marketing plans for consumer and advertiser marketing in Mexico.
- Build, lead, and develop a team of highly creative and ambitious marketers that foster a culture that supports people who take well-reasoned risks. Drive Google's growth through effective and results-focused marketing campaigns driven by key user insights.
- Ensure the voice of the user is consistently heard and incorporated into the thinking of brand and creative concepts at the highest levels.
- Act as a brand advocate, providing thought-leadership, inspiration, and best practices that contribute to the success of the brand across all channels internally and externally.
