About the job

Be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. You'll contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration.

As an Integration Manufacturing Engineer (IME) in the Cloud Supply Chain Organization (CSCO) located in Mexico, you will be responsible for providing New Product Introduction (NPI) manufacturing support and design guidance for the AI, server, storage, and network hardware that populates Google data centers. You will frequently work on-site with our Contract Manufacturers (CMs) in North America to guide fabrication and assembly for new products while resolving issues and implementing manufacturing process optimizations. You will use your experience to drive design improvements focused on meeting high-volume production demands. You will identify and implement process improvements to help mature and scale the business while maintaining exceptional quality. You will have the opportunity to lead projects and make significant contributions to Google and our contract manufacturer's hardware manufacturing processes. You will build and deploy technology worldwide to support the needs of compute, storage, networking, and machine learning hardware.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical feedback on suppliers to help drive Google's sourcing strategy, and then lead product qualifications and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for mechanical parts, assemblies, and Level 11 (L11) rack integration based on volume, ramp timeline, and product requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Design Engineering, Quality, Program Managers, Safety, Global Commodity Management, Sustaining Engineering, and Data Center Technicians to drive cost-effective designs and manufacturing processes optimized for scalability.
  • Work with the Product Data Management team to create, review, and approve Bill of Materials (BoM), Approved Manufacturer Lists (AML), and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
