Senior Developer Experience and Growth Marketing Lead, AI Futures Fund

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in a developer relations, growth marketing, product marketing, or related role.
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies and multi-channel growth campaigns from the ground up.
  • Experience with marketing analytics, A/B testing, and using data to measure campaign performance and inform strategy.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience setting technical strategy for teams and projects.
  • Experience working directly with startups, venture capital firms, or in a portfolio marketing capacity.
  • Experience creating and scaling content programs that establish thought leadership in a technical field.
  • Understanding of established networks within the AI, startup, and VC ecosystems.
  • Ability to build and engage a community of founders, developers or technical users.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Part community manager and part developer advocate, Developer Relations Engineers collaborate with developers at conferences and online, and advocate for developers interests internally at Google. Not afraid to write sample code and client libraries as well as participate in developer forums and support queues to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter. Internally, you work with product engineering teams to improve our products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API designs and testing new features. Chrome, Android, App Engine, HTML5 as well as our core Google Applications and Ads APIs are just some of the platforms you promote and support.

With your technical expertise, you drive strategy around fostering a community of developers who work with Google technologies. An ardent advocate for these developers, you represent their voice internally to our Product Managers and serve as their Google support in application development and technology implementation.

As a part of the AI Futures Fund team, you will be a Developer Experience and Growth Marketer in a founding role, driving the entire go-to-market strategy for our initiative. You will define the funds's brand and value proposition, attract AI entrepreneurs globally, and work cross-functionally with product, design, and marketing teams to shape the ecosystem for the next generation of AI-powered companies. You will report to the Director of the AI Future Fund and accelerate portfolio startups' success while leveraging Google DeepMind's latest AI models and resources.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive growth strategies and own the public narrative to expand brand reach, elevate public profile, tone of voice and brand to attract founders, partners and developers to the ecosystem.
  • Develop and manage external content efforts, creating and executing marketing and PR campaigns for portfolio companies to boost their growth and visibility.
  • Build relationships within the AI ecosystem by engaging with VCs, research institutions, hackathons, and relevant conferences.
  • Foster a community space where AI Futures Fund-adjacent founders, researchers, and portfolio company leaders can connect, share insights, and collaborate.
  • Measure content and campaign performance through analysis by conducting A/B testing across messaging, channels, and content formats to optimize for engagement and conversion.
