Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 20 years of professional experience.
- Experience building AI products, specifically modeling and quality, and shipping products.
- Experience building and managing engineering teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD degree.
- 5 years of experience in senior leadership in large, cross-functional, and global engineering organizations, specifically focused on modeling and quality.
- Experience as an operations oriented leader with the ability to set a vision, inspire, execute, and generate followership.
- Experience scaling projects in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with broad managerial, critical problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
About the job
As the Senior Director of Generative AI Quality, you will use your business acumen to lead the strategic vision and roadmap for Cloud AI Generative AI modeling, encompassing research, development, and deployment of cutting-edge models. You will manage, grow, and partner with a team of experts across Engineering and Product. You will set the vision for our Generative AI Quality team, working with external partners to drive innovation within this field.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $323,000-$465,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic vision and roadmap for Cloud AI Generative AI modeling, encompassing research, development, and deployment of cutting-edge models. Identify emerging trends, anticipating market needs, and prioritize initiatives.
- Drive collaboration with our exceptional research organization to develop and implement innovative deep learning models that differentiate our Cloud AI GenAI platform. Foster a close partnership with researchers to translate groundbreaking research into practical, scalable solutions.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with other Google Cloud organizations to ensure seamless integration and support of GenAI-powered applications across our product portfolio. Collaborate and communicate cross-functionally to drive adoption and maximize the impact of GenAI capabilities.
- Provide executive leadership and technical guidance to support our strategic Google Cloud customers in leveraging GenAI technology to achieve their business goals. Build strong relationships with key customers.
