Program Manager, Logistics and Inventory Management Specialist

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing warehousing and supply chain operations.
  • 5 years of experience working with, supervising, and managing third party logistics relationships.
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain, materials, and inventory management.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Project Management or CSCMP.
  • Experience of working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience in quality control, inventory management, safety, and security.
  • Understanding of warehouse processes, including inbound and outbound operations, inventory management and control, and material handling.
  • Ability to apply structured thinking and logic to work and provide innovative solutions to issues.

As an Inventory Management Specialist you are responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate management of inventory levels across EMEA and APAC data centers. This role plays a critical part in maintaining seamless data center operations by optimizing stock levels of critical components, preventing stockouts and overstocks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet the dynamic demands of the data center environment. As an Inventory Management Specialist you will leverage your expertise in inventory control and data analysis to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the continuous availability of essential equipment.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage inventory levels, ensure accuracy and optimal stock levels to meet customer demand and avoid stock-outs or overstock situations.
  • Monitor inventory movement and analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement in inventory control processes and controlling aging inventory
  • Understand the data center critical components and their impact on operational continuity.
  • Develop an inventory strategy for data center operations and drive the Third-party lab (3PL) teams to operational inventory through inventory metrics and KPI's.
  • Specific focus on managing inventory across data centers in EMEA and APAC, understanding regional nuances and logistical complexities.
