Technical Program Manager II, Mission Engineering, Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with cloud computing technologies.
  • Experience with US Federal Government proposal development and leading projects in accordance with US Government agreement management principles.
  • Active US Government Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or PMP certification.
  • Experience working with Intelligence Community agencies and their specific needs and requirements.
  • Experience identifying and developing processes within a PMO environment.
  • Experience with major cloud service providers (e.g., Google).
  • Ability to drive technical discussions or resolve technical issues with Engineering leads.
  • Excellent communication skills with executive-level stakeholders and team leads.

The Mission Engineering Management and Operations (MEMO) team within Google Public Sector delivers Google Cloud innovation to the United States Government.

As a Technical Program Manager on our team, you will support the delivery of projects and proposals, contributing to the success of our mission.

Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the complex needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of proposals and responses to task orders and call orders on existing government agreements.
  • Contribute to the development of technically sound, responsive, and compelling proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, legal, etc.) to support proposal development.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of a knowledge base and best practices for project management methodologies.
  • Support the analysis of project data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.
