Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
- 3 years of experience as a product designer working on consumer-facing products or mobile applications.
- Experience managing features or products from concept to launch on consumer-facing mobile applications.
- Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with interaction design (e.g., wireframing) and visual design (e.g., typography and layout).
- Experience working on Generative AI features.
- Experience in mobile design patterns, with an understanding of responsive and cross-form-factor design.
- Experience designing for ecosystems, with the ability to switch between low-level product details and high-level ecosystem needs.
- Ability to communicate interaction concepts and design rationales clearly and persuasively to different audiences and across varying levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders while maintaining the self-motivation to prioritize and manage workloads to meet critical project milestones and deadlines.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.
As a User Experience Designer on Core Store, you will shape critical experiences to help evolve the way users engage with Play and the rest of the Android ecosystem on a deeper level. You will be able to influence strategies in key areas and manage end-to-end execution to bring features to life for all Android users.
Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Influence User Experience strategies and drive design executions for feature areas focused on store engagement.
- Partner with User Experience Research for user-driven insights and build prototypes that facilitate data-driven design decisions.
- Collaborate with other Play Store teams and designers to develop holistic user journeys.
- Contribute back to and help evolve our design system.
- Maintain a high bar for craft by ensuring meticulous attention to detail and advocating for product excellence across all phases of design.
