Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in software development and testing.
- Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, automation, and debugging.
- Experience with a coding language (e.g., C, C++, Python, or Go).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with network equipment, network protocols testing, and debugging.
- Experience in test automation, network test automation, test coverage, Python, networking equipment, ethernet switching, and debugging/troubleshooting.

As a Networking Test Engineer you make sure that our massive and growing network is operating at its peak potential. You have hands-on experience with complex networking equipment, a deep understanding of networking protocols, test design and implementation chops and a background in IP network design. It's your job to make sure Google's cutting-edge technology can perform at scale.

Responsibilities
- Test google cloud based platform from a functional as well as a scale perspective.
- Own and develop automation frameworks for current and future cloud platform products. Public cloud platform skills (Kubernetes) are required for triaging and debugging issues.
- Automate the test cases that can be executed in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment from building all the way to the canary based deployment.
- Work closely with the Engineering Development teams, Product Management teams and Engineering Productivity (tools) teams to make sure the required libraries and framework is ready for automating the test cases that are lined up for daily and weekly builds.
- Work with Platform Deployment team to drive best practices.
