Senior Reliability Engineer, MicroLED Display, Raxium

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in optoelectronic module reliability or an advanced degree.
  • 3 years of experience in reliability and qualification testing, data analysis, and reliability predictions for semiconductor devices.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in reliability of semiconductor optical devices or display products.
  • Experience with driving and implementing Design For Reliability (DFR) methodology including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Experience in driving failure analysis for reliability failures.
  • Experience with databases and programming skills, including data extraction, analysis, and visualization with commonly used tools like JMP or Reliasoft.
  • Knowledge of optoelectronic device performance requirements and test methodology, particularly for III-V or LED/display products.

About the job

As a Senior Reliability Engineer in MicroLED Display, you will be responsible for developing and continuously improving reliability programs for microLED-based display products. You will take the lead in developing the necessary hardware, executing reliability tests, performing in-depth analysis, and providing product reliability predictions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams that will be essential to ensure outstanding reliability performance in our next-generation display products.Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead and document Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for III-V microLED based display products.
  • Own and execute microLED reliability tests, reliability data analysis and reporting, reliability predictions for product failure rates, over-life device performance changes and drive understanding of device physics and reliability failure mechanisms.
  • Manage and plan Reliability Test schedules for semiconductor microLED and Display Panel, work with support staff in executing the required activities.
  • Direct failure analysis and root cause/corrective action discussions with the test, process, integration, and product teams for failures that occur in the reliability and qualification tests.
  • Provide reliability inputs and recommendations at the integration and product design review meetings to ensure that product reliability requirements are met.
