Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in leadership roles with/without direct reports.
  • 5 years of experience with project management in the telecom or data center infrastructure space.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
  • Experience in data center operations.
  • Experience working in complex organizational settings (e.g., shared accountability, geographic dispersion, ambiguity, etc.).
  • Familiarity with networking or telecom operations.
  • Excellent quantitative, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Data Center Network (DCNet) Delivery Manager, you will be at the helm of critical network deployment programs, directly managing a team that drives the tactical work. You will guide them in organizing complex cross-functional projects, ensuring clear ownership, streamlined workflows, and meticulously managed schedules. This role demands a strong technical background in infrastructure, capacity planning, servers, networks, and data center operations, along with excellent communication and presentation skills to influence executive leaders and foster collaboration across all business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of technical program managers responsible for cross-functional coordination and oversight of data center network and capacity growth projects in a given region to deliver on on-time delivery and cycle time goals.
  • Hire, coach and develop a team of program managers to meet objectives.
  • Work with direct reports and partner teams to set and implement short term and long term infrastructure delivery strategy for the region.
  • Own and nurture relationships between cross-functional teams while defining and developing specific cross-team roles, expectations, and responsibilities.
  • Deliver execution at scale within large, multi-project programs by driving iterative process optimization and managing the career development and personal growth of a team of Technical Program Management (T/PMs).
