Our infrastructure strategy prioritizes safe, secure, and sustainable data center operations while meeting increasing demand and performance needs.
Within the Global Infrastructure and Energy (GIE) team, we partner with data center developers and acquire essential third-party assets (land, power, network, space) to complement our internal construction efforts, supporting Google's specialized hardware and software.
Data center innovations, particularly in AI/ML, necessitate a skilled technical team to collaborate with third-party vendors for turnkey construction of data center facilities and infrastructure. This involves integrating Google's specific requirements, value engineering our standards into industry designs, and ensuring acquired assets are suitable. The role encompasses evolving design standards, cost-sharing models, and adapting available third-party assets to meet immediate needs.

evaluation, third-party design validation, and the delivery of
fit-for-purpose data centers. You will leverage technical expertise and
delivery/construction knowledge for projects, driving third-party strategy
and delivery for a significant portion of Google's data center portfolio.
You will also shape agreement structures and facility requirements,
collaborating with internal teams to accelerate time to market and advance construction methods through industry best practices and automation.
