Storage Sales Specialist

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in quota-carrying storage-related cloud or software sales, or account management at a Business-to-Business technology company.
  • 5 years of experience selling enterprise NetApp solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GCNV offering or NetApp Cloud service at other cloud providers.
  • Understanding of the industry landscape, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Proven track record of success in cultivating and closing complex deals, exceeding sales targets, and driving customer adoption of new technologies.
  • Deep expertise with NetApp storage solutions and ONTAP software sales.
  • Established network of contacts within the Industry and ecosystem.

As a Storage Sales Specialist focusing on the EMEA region, you will be responsible for incubating, growing and creating an efficient, leveraged go-to-market model for Google Cloud Storage business, beginning with Google Cloud's NetApp Volumes (GCNV) offering. This role requires deep collaboration with Google Cloud, NetApp and Partner sales and GTM teams to develop sales pipeline, deliver target business and foster growth through direct, attached, and cross-selling strategies within new and existing customer accounts. You will advocate the value of GCNV, built on NetApp technology, enable and engage key stakeholders to accelerate GCNV business as an integral part of key verticals like Banking and Insurance, Automotive, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Energy, Gaming, Healthcare, Software and Internet and Media and Entertainment, and for Data Management and AI applications in Google Cloud for in-Cloud and on-premises users.

Responsibilities

  • Enable and engage Google Cloud, NetApp and Partner demand gen, pre-sales and sales teams to drive a robust sales pipeline and business with direct, attached, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Partner with Google Cloud vertical GTM teams in key verticals like Banking and Insurance, Automotive, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Energy, Gaming, Healthcare, Software and Internet and Media and Entertainment, to integrate GCNV offering as an integral part of a differentiated solution.
  • Build and nurture executive relationships with customers, influencing their long-term technology strategies and acting as a trusted partner.
  • Represent Google Cloud at customer sites, industry conferences, and other relevant events, showcasing GCNV's value proposition.
