Partner Engineer, Device Platform Operations, Partner Engineering, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience in coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in program/project management and business technology market with engineering, business and marketing teams.
  • 1 year of experience in a client-facing role.
  • Experience with embedded devices, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, System on a Chip (SoC) providers, and Pay TV Operators.
  • Ability to speak to business and technical stakeholders with excellent communication, problem solving, organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

About the job

In this role, you will lead deployments, optimize implementations, and manage integrations to build strong, successful device partnerships. You will own technical engagements and will be the key driver in finding creative solutions that lead them to the next level. You will have the opportunity to lead projects and teams that require close collaboration with other teams like Product, Engineering, Business Development, Operations and Marketing. You will improve existing operations, define and commercialize new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations and taking new initiatives from conception to successful deployment. You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Guide implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical tests.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
  • Identify, drive, and optimize the business growth flow from existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies.
  • Lead YouTube certification operations for all device YouTube Living Room Partners (e.g., Samsung, LG, Amazon).
