About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us — and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.

In this role, you will be a part of the Google Climate Operations team. This team is responsible for ensuring that Google achieves Net Zero emissions by 2030 for our global operations and value chain. We work cross-functionally to define and coordinate Net Zero strategy, develop and scale new solutions that accelerate decarbonization, and serve as a point of technical coordination across Google on energy and carbon.

The Sustainability Metrics Accounting team serves as the center of expertise for footprinting and accounting in the Sustainability Functional Area. Through measurement and analysis, we quantify Google's corporate and product footprints, generating actionable insights that shape directions, enhance performance against our goals, and support transparency through external disclosures.

The Global Sustainability team enables Google to build a more sustainable future for everyone by driving strategy and solutions. We drive the development and implementation of Google’s global sustainability strategy to further empower action, ensure alignment and prioritization, identify leadership opportunities, and mitigate risks. We drive sustainability strategy and programs on carbon, circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement, while serving as a sustainability leadership advocate internally and externally.
