Senior Director, Global Supply Chain Planning

About the job

As the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain Planning for Google Machines and Networking, you will lead a global team responsible for the planning of Google's machine and networking infrastructure supply chain. You will oversee a complex global network, ensuring the timely delivery and optimal utilization of resources to support the growth and reliability of Google's data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $278,000-$400,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Plan the deployment of machines and networking equipment in Google data centers globally, balancing capacity needs, cost efficiency, and technology evolution.
  • Develop and execute labor plans for data center operations and logistics, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
  • Optimize warehouse space to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Manage spares inventory for the deployed fleet of machines in Google data centers, ensuring adequate availability to maintain service levels while minimizing costs of spares.
  • Oversee inventory management across the entire supply chain, including raw materials, work in progress (WIP), Spares, and finished goods, to minimize excess inventory and prevent stockouts.
