Senior Cyber Security Advisor, Google Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience assessing and developing cyber security solutions and programs across security domains.
  • 8 years of experience in delivering cyber outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions.
  • Experience mentoring clients on the production of operational, and tactical cyber threats, related intelligence about threat actor groups, methodologies used, and motivations behind activity.
  • Experience preparing and delivering briefings, assessments, lessons learned, metrics analysis, after action reports, and program documentation, both verbally and in writing, to the client’s executives, security team, and stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications related to specific cloud platforms.
  • Experience implementing industry-leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security for clients’ cloud security frameworks using industry standards.
  • Experience with cloud governance, with the ability to convey governance principles to cloud computing in terms of policies.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $164,000-$243,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serves as a trusted advisor and expert resource to the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Threat Management team leads, advising on cloud security, incident response and security operations leading practices.
  • Support the development of plans and schedules for strategic projects, including goals, risks and resource allocation.
  • Manages and maintain client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met, including delivery of team members embedded within threat management functions.
