Deal Support Strategy Program Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in an operations environment in technology based companies focusing on technology based customers and agreements.
  • Program management experience working with external partners, vendors, and creators.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a business process extended workforce/managed services environment, with an emphasis on identifying, actioning, and optimizing for extended workforce opportunities.
  • Ability to work well with sales, internal departments, and operational teams involved in the agreement making process.
  • Ability to take initiative and independently identify action items needed in any given situation.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, combined with business judgment, with the ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Excellent communication skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. As Google Cloud contracting volumes and complexity increases, the Agreement Strategy Support team have been tasked with supporting sales through the contracting process for both agreements that can be completed within largely automated systems, and those that require non-standard processing.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the transition of contracting workflows to the vendor team by managing the creation of process flows and documentation, training materials and measurement methods.
  • Be the primary liaison to programmatic teams charged with the identification and creation of fallbacks and agreement options, as well as identifying use cases, developing supporting materials including educational and training materials, and acting as an escalation point for Cloud sales teams in the contracting process for cases being processed by the vendor team.
  • Be a liaison for vendor and internal groups, be able to identify the process opportunities and work with teams to help streamline operations, drive operational excellence, remove redundancies in the process, handoffs, etc.
  • Manage and drive maximum quality and output from vendor suppliers whilst ensuring compliance with published sales and business Policies, Process, and Procedure.
