Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory experience, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • 10 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.
  • 4 years of experience in people management.
  • 2 years of experience creating complex data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience leading business strategy development for large multinational organizations.
  • Ability to guide and manage teams, multiple projects with a broad range of senior internal or external stakeholders simultaneously.

About the job

As a Head of Go-To-Market Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining sales cadence for the Large Customer Sales (LCS) business as well as strategic planning for future growth, primarily partnering with the Vice President (VP) of LCS Services, Industry Directors, as well as other members of the Management Group, as well as cross-channel and cross-functional partners. You will ensure delivery of the business priorities for the Sector, define and deliver strategies and programs to improve business effectiveness and efficiency across the entire business.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify key strategic questions and translate long-term goals and strategy into defined projects. 
  • Partner with Strategic Project Director and Principal Leads to select projects and staff team capacity to lead projects that optimize operating structure and resource allocation or aimed to streamline cross-functional collaboration for faster execution. 
  • Plan strategic projects that are operationally intensive and cross-functional to ensure there is structure and timely delivery of project goals. 
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators and timelines for each project, regular metrics reporting, that tie back to strategic goals, and post-implementation impact analysis. 
  • Develop best practices, templates, and tools specific to each strategic domain that can be utilized for future initiatives.
