Product Manager, Android Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • 2 years of experience developing/launching products/technologies within one or more of the following: Cloud, SaaS, enterprise, internal tools, or supply chain networks.
  • 1 year of experience in leveraging AI/ML technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in direct product management of developer focused products, tools or technology, including engineering user interfaces.
  • Experience working with and guiding engineers with limited PM exposure.
  • Experience executing and landing complex, multi-year projects.
  • Familiarity with open source code management tools, Google’s developer toolset and ecosystem, or both.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to shape the future of Android development at Google by driving the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will be at the forefront of innovation, working with an execution oriented team and collaborate with teams across Google and key partners, including DeepMind, to define and deliver impactful AI-powered solutions for our Google developers.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute towards the goal to increase productivity of Android developers by driving the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the entire SDLC.
  • Engage with users and customers to ascertain their needs and pain points, identifying potential solutions.
  • Lead the integration of agentic tools into development workflows and context management within the Android codebase.
  • Work with executive leads and contribute to the product goal, strategy, and roadmap for developer products and tools, focus on high-impact opportunities to enhance developer satisfaction and productivity.
  • Partner with Engineering, UX, cross-functional teams to build, launch and land tools, products and services and drive adoption to deliver end-user developer impact.
