  • Experience managing partner growth and contributing to team culture through leadership skills, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Experience developing growth initiatives, achieving partner business goals, and using business reporting tools.
  • Experience, running experiments, drawing conclusions, and building actionable plans based on data.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud products.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and executional capabilities, along with problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and entrepreneurial skill sets.

About the job

Within Google Cloud, the Small and Medium Business (SMB) Partnerships team is driving rapid Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) growth via our global partner network.

As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, your role is to drive Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) sales for small and medium businesses across global markets by working collaboratively with our [Region e.g., North America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), etc.] SMB partners lead, direct sales teams, and our extensive partner network. Partners are critical to the growth, adoption, and scale of Google Cloud products. You will work with key SMB-focused partners to develop their Google Cloud business via sales and marketing campaigns, training, and enablement. You’ll be the key point of contact for our top SMB partners in developing a deep understanding of partner growth drivers and identifying creative solutions to increase sales across several different categories of Google Cloud partners. You are collaborative, creative, and able to drive sales at scale through our partner ecosystem. You will have experience selling Cloud solutions or working with Software as a Service (SaaS) partners, and understanding how to measure and grow Small and Medium Business (SMB) businesses. You will have the ability to manage an ecosystem of partners, both directly and at scale, and can partner with our direct sales team to build and execute growth initiatives. Your drive, focus, leadership, and collaborative nature will be a huge positive contributor to our overall team culture.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$256,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with core sellers and channel partners to reach as many Small and Medium Business (SMB) accounts with our Google Cloud solutions.
  • Own the enablement, alignment, and introductions for our core sellers and drive prioritization of our Google Cloud portfolio across all sellers and corresponding channel partners.
  • Construct and execute a territory development plan.
  • Partner with Marketing, Customer Engineering, Customer Success, Channels, Product, and Engineering teams to understand the needs of the customer and provide excellent customer experience.
  • Develop and drive pipelines to manage cycles leading from generation to customer onboarding. Build and maintain relationships to influence long-term direction.
