Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.
Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.
As a Strategy Lead in the Play & Developer Ecosystem strategy team you are responsible for supporting Play leadership in making strategic decisions on a wide range of topics that affect the strategic position and business performance of Play in the context of the Android Ecosystem. You will focus on two areas: Android Developer Ecosystem and Android Ecosystem Trust. You will develop expertise in these areas and apply this expertise to identify challenges and opportunities, translate those into strategy projects, and drive these projects in collaboration with your team members and cross-functional teams across Android and Play. To do this, you will develop trusted relationships with the key stakeholders in these areas, and provide insights and recommendations that set up Play for continued success.

Responsibilities
- Analyze the Developer and Android ecosystems to uncover challenges and growth opportunities that strengthen platform trust.
- Define problem statements and Return on Investment (ROI) frameworks to help leadership navigate business trade-offs and data-based outcomes.
- Provide insights and research that enable the organization to define, execute, and land its key strategic priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional leaders by communicating analytical findings and business recommendations.
- Direct cross-functional teams through ambiguous projects using advanced analytical tools and creative methodologies to achieve business objectives.
