Field Sales Manager, Public Sector, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in technology-related sales or business development at a business-to-business (B2B) software company.
  • Leadership experience, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching.
  • To meet federal government security criteria Australian Citizenship is an essential requirement for this role.
  • Successful candidates will be required to obtain NV1 clearance under the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing and leading a team.
  • Experience working with, and managing, cross-functional internal teams (e.g,. Business Development, Customer Engineers, Partner Sales) and external partners in implementation projects and negotiations.
  • Ability to manage business and commercial models while leading organizational transformations and delivering on results.

In this role, you will manage a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) who promote our new and existing Public Sector accounts related to different public entities across Australia and New Zealand (AuNZ). You will leverage existing relationships with C-level executives, develop new relationships, and act as a trusted business partner in understanding the unique company issues and goals. You will participate in all aspects of building the business, including attainment of assigned objectives, business planning, demand generation, account engagement, and acquisition/account-based marketing activities. You will advocate the power of our products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of FSRs and build an inclusive and growth culture. Focus on talent strategy and skills development to exceed business goals for your territory and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Build executive relationships with customers and influence long-term direction by understanding their technology footprint and strategy, tactical growth plans, business drivers, and competitive landscape.
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working collaboratively with Customer Engineers and Google Partners to create new opportunities and lead Public Sector customers through the entire business-cycle.
  • Represent the territory in business planning, town halls, and team meetings, reporting accurate and timely forecasting and business performance.
  • Travel to, and present at, customer meetings, conferences, and other related events as needed, acting as an advocate for Google Cloud, our products, and our customers.
