Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in sales, with 3 years of experience in a sales management role.
  • Experience in building sales teams and defining sales culture.
  • Experience in people management, identifying, attracting, and developing a diverse team and creating an inclusive team culture.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and German fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Ability to develop and deliver a joint business strategy that is dynamic and balances short term delivery with longer term sustainable success, and excellent strategic and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to participate directly and help teams understand performance data, identify opportunities, and land and scale success, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify issues and priorities to escalate regionally/globally and to product teams.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to support, inspire, and grow your team and customers.

About the job

As the Director of Google Customer Solutions (GCS), Alpine, you will lead a high performing sales team, partnering with businesses ranging from digital disruptors to mature brands, from small businesses to large media agencies. You will be responsible for finding the optimal advertising solution for each client to meet their marketing objectives. Your ability as a senior sales leader and understanding of the digital economy and online media along with your entrepreneurial drive will enable our customers to expand their businesses with Google's latest AI powered advertising products and solutions.

Using your effective communication skills, you will represent Google to a portfolio of Alpine (Switzerland and Austria) clients whose needs you will listen to and understand to help your team define the strategy for how their products and services can reach thousands or even millions of users to drive growth in their businesses. You will help customers achieve business growth through digitization and will enable your team to overachieve ambitious business and product goals and OKRs. You will own the strategy, forecasting, planning, and execution of the market.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate, coach and develop your sales team to high performance, prioritizing hitting key metrics and delivering results for customers and Google. Model high performance competitive selling and a deep knowledge of the marketplace for your team.
  • Ensure Google’s ads business success across your portfolio by delivering maximum value to our customers.
  • Create a culture of consistent high performance in sales, ensuring purpose, respect, and belonging remain at the heart of the team.
  • Run a highly efficient, effective sales team using data to support key decisions and help sellers achieve their full potential through sales and AI skills development. 
  • Be part of the senior leadership team for the Central Europe organization developing and executing the people strategy.
