Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience interacting with and manipulating data using tools such as SQL, R, or other statistical languages.
  • 5 years of experience working with multiple data sources, combining information to generate insights from analyses, and creating reporting solutions for an executive audience (e.g., dashboards, tables, templates, metrics).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a client-facing role using data visualizations to represent analyses to an executive audience.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies or problem-solving approaches.
  • Experience managing technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with inferential statistics and using quantitative and qualitative strategies to measure the effectiveness of programs, interventions, and efforts for an organization.
  • Excellent consulting, client management, and project management skills.

The People Analytics team acts as an internal innovation lab, using analytical approaches to make sure Google continues to be a great place to work. The team provides critical support to the business around issues of organizational health and is responsible for not just taking the pulse of our Googlers, but harnessing Googler feedback to drive change for the better. As an analyst you'll be detail-oriented and conscientious, analytical and curious. You're a strong problem-solver, who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to get things done. And on top of it all, you're someone who wonders "What if?" and then seeks out the solution.

As a People Analyst, you will be detail-oriented and conscientious and curious. You will be focused on solving for Googler Growth and Development, taking a multifaceted approach looking across structural factors, Googler sentiment and progression metrics, and organizational outcomes. Your knowledge of People Operations (POps) data, along with business context, will enable you to provide action-oriented insights to ensure POps and Google are well-informed and able to make thoughtful, data-driven people decisions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$165,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced analytics on complex data sets to distill insights from data, and convey findings to executive audiences.
  • Design and implement new research studies, analyze data, and report on results of research initiatives to a business audience.
  • Connect ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations, using creative, structured, and thinking. Use data visualization to help communicate ideas.
  • Act as an influential thought partner for leaders across PeopleDev and Googler Reviews and Development (GRAD), and help apply a level of accuracy to decision making.
