  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in both vendor management and risk management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in any one of the following: test automation, test coverage, or test planning.
  • Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and other data storage solutions.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The Google Home team is looking to add a Technical Program Manager who is a proficient user of AI technologies and seeks opportunities to use AI/ML technologies to independently manage improvements across programs. In this role, you will serve as a liaison between the Test Engineering teams, Engineering, PM's, UX, and Support teams.

As a TPM you will be providing test program management during analysis, design, development, implementation, and post implementation launch phases. You will lead and drive cross-functional, cross-vertical test process to enable standardization, optimization, and/or transformation.
The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end to end test development activities and dependencies across internal and external teams.
  • Maintain and co-author technical documentation used for product test plans and test processes.
  • Automate test status reporting with clear test signals. Create and maintain automated dashboards.
  • Run test programs at scale, manage multiple complex and ambiguous test programs, and highlight risks with clear mitigation plans.
