Solutions Consultant, Strategic Initiatives Lead, Partner Engagement

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in contingent workforce outsourced operations or vendor management.
  • 10 years of experience in program management or a customer-facing role.
  • 10 years of experience working with and managing partners in programs, aligning stakeholders towards initiatives with global/regional impact.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Program Management for e.g. Six Sigma and Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience with building content with inputs from partners in complex programs e.g. drafting business case studies and publications.
  • Experience in consulting.
  • Excellent communication skills.

gTech's Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team empowers Product Areas to optimize extended workforce operations while reducing risks and driving efficiency through the enforcement of Google best practices and policies. We advocate informed decision-making, ensuring our partners find the right talent in the right locations that support their product area's needs. Our collaboration across Google leads to streamlined processes, minimizing administrative burdens and optimizing the extended workforce experience. We ensure Google's policies and guidelines are consistently adhered to.

The Partner Engagement team is a part of xWS. We build essential relationships with Alphabet product areas, Bets, and the Global Procurement Office (GPO) to deliver the policies and guidelines of managing extended workforce in a consistent and scaled way across the enterprise. Our mission is to facilitate extended workforce success, help teams manage compliance, build resilient operations, and promote durable cost savings. We prioritize understanding product area needs to develop solutions that address their specific challenges.

In this role, you will directly shape Google's strategy in this space, impacting regulatory, commercial, and operational decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide domain experience in vendor management or outsourced operations strategy.
  • Plan and execute project roadmap, establish project goals, coordinate resources, and provide leadership, in line with long-term objectives of the functional area, with direction only from senior leaders where needed.
  • Develop processes and drive cross-functional initiatives including business capacity planning, escalations management and troubleshooting.
  • Anticipate and define problems and craft custom solutions by researching and assessing varied approaches leveraging new ideas. 
  • Develop executive leadership level communication for Alphabet-wide circulation informing changes in policies, standards and compliance obligations and upcoming milestones on Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) enterprise wide changes including key strategic projects.
