Principal Account Manager, Financial Services

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in digital media sales, digital advertising, or digital marketing, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience working with advertisers, agencies, or clients.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the financial services or insurance industries.
  • Experience implementing and selling Google solutions (Search, Programmatic, YouTube) or performer solutions.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience managing digital marketing/advertising campaigns, and managing relationships with clients, customers, or agencies.
  • Experience in client management, stakeholder communication and presentation skills.

As a Principal Account Manager, you will practice and embody the Google way of selling in both internal and customer settings. You will use your knowledge of advertising and your industry or vertical to protect and grow in business. You will drive outcomes for multiple accounts within a book of business, identifying customer needs and translating objectives into action through campaign implementation, optimization, campaign expansion, and core account hygiene. In addition, you will drive provision of data-driven strategic and tactical recommendations to customers, partner teams, and leadership based on analyses and utilize insights to influence cross-team collaborations to support customer growth, align on opportunity/project timelines and goals, and ensure "OneGoogle" solutions are presented to customers.Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, and develop an understanding of business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Work proactively and cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure workflows and projects are completed on time.
  • Plan for, and achieve, business growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet marketing objectives.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
