Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar.
- 5 years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams.
- Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including research design, data collection, analysis, and synthesis.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Design, Engineering) to drive product strategy and execution.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field.
- 10 years of experience conducting UX research on products and working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
- 7 years of experience managing projects, and working in a large, matrixed organization.
- Experience working on large-scale consumer products, ideally in the photo/video space.
- Experience working with or managing UX Writers, and understanding the impact of content on user experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and people-management skills.

You'll be a fierce advocate for the people who use our products, ensuring their needs and behaviors are at the forefront of every decision.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $224,000-$315,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, coaching, and career development opportunities for your direct reports.
- Implement creative solutions to move quickly while delivering trustworthy, actionable insights in scalable ways.
- Contribute to future strategies by bringing a user-centered lens to solve complex problems.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of both qualitative (e.g., in-depth interviews, ethnographic studies, usability testing, diary studies) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, evals, statistical modeling) research to uncover holistic user insights.
- Ensure our teams’ research findings are clear, compelling, and actionable insights that influence product decisions and strategy across all stages of the product life-cycle.
