Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cyber-security, or related fields.
- Experience with technical indicators and common cyber investigations techniques.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Behavioral Abuse/Influence Operations investigations.
- Experience with Analytic/Intelligence writing.
- Experience writing finished investigative products with excellent communication, strategic and investigative skills.
- Ability to work in a rapidly-changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative and qualitative insights.
- Ability to frame problems for audiences, structure analyses, and drive impact.
- Ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies.

As a Threat Investigations Analyst, you will be passionate about threat research and all source intelligence analysis. You will leverage investigative experience and creativity to understand and analyze sophisticated abuse activity and are motivated to protect the integrity of the YouTube platform and user base. You will have a passion for extracting insights from information and expertise in analytic writing and communicating intelligence findings to varied audiences. You will grow in a fast, dynamic, demanding environment where the threat actor landscape is constantly evolving.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to the efforts to reduce badness on YouTube. You will be part of a team responsible for mitigating the influence operations threat to the YouTube platform and user base. You will contribute to high touch, technical investigations, and threat research. You will work alongside legal, product and engineering stakeholders to implement abuse detection and prevention mechanisms.
You will be a critical thinker with experience conducting behavioral abuse investigations and developing analytic assessments and recommendations. You will grow in ambiguity and have an aptitude for developing repeatable workflows, performing against impact-based metrics and working as part of a team.

- Investigate behavioral abuse and threat actors on the YouTube platform in order to understand techniques, impact and attribution.
- Participate in high velocity analytic work flow ensuring tight deadlines are consistently met, a high bar of analytic excellence is consistently applied and reporting deliverables reflect best practice intelligence assessments.
- Prepare written analytic products, presentations and strategic insights for senior YouTube leadership and to the broader organization.
- Work together with cross-functional teams on scaling investigative workflows, developing new capabilities, tool and classifier development and ensuring our posture is resilient against emerging threats.
- Utilize data analysis to extract key insights from user behavior, enhancing detection accuracy and operational efficiency.
