Associate Android Auto Partner Engineer, gReach Program for People with Disabilities (장애인 채용)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of professional experience in software development.
  • Experience in an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C++, or Python).
  • Experience in troubleshooting and managing partnerships or client relationships.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently to collaborate with cross-functional teams in APAC and support client relationship management in Korea.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in leading complex technical projects with automotive industry partners or related industry partners.
  • Experience with Android application or Android device development.
  • Experience with system architecture or device bring-up of Android or other Linux-based platforms.
  • Knowledge of internet technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, RESTful APIs, etc.).

Participants receive on-the-job training and work on various projects. This program helps participants from underrepresented groups advance their careers by joining teams in Google. This provides exposure to Google careers and enhances professional skills. Participants contribute to the business, collaborate with others, and add lasting value. They will work closely with a host manager and team to identify project goals and support their professional development.

The Android Auto team collaborate with vehicle manufacturers to develop and deliver on this massive opportunity, building on a proven embedded platform to create a leading Assistant-powered, navigation, entertainment, and communication vehicle system, which will be delivered to specialized people-moving devices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop tools to empower automakers to deliver the best of Android and Google Automotive Services.
  • Work closely with the teams across the Android Automotive Product Area, Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play.
  • Identify, drive, and optimize technical and business process flows for opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.
  • Ensure the technical aspects of a Korean partner’s integration by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
