Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
 - 5 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, market research, analytics, consulting, or media (e.g., search, social, mobile, display, and video media).
 - 5 years of experience in Consumer and Market Insights.
 - 5 years of experience creating and presenting customer-facing materials (e.g., pitches, narratives, or one-sheets) for sales teams.
 
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing research, analytics or consulting.
 - Experience analyzing large and data sets to derive insights and articulate data into stories that resonate at scale.
 - Experience managing first and third-party research and tools.
 - Experience with hypothesis-driven thinking to shape compelling client presentations, translating complex ideas into simple stories.
 - Knowledge of digital marketing and Google products with the ability to work cross-functionally to influence ideas.
 - Excellent project management, communication and storytelling skills.

As a Strategic Insights Lead (SIL), you will serve as a strategic thought partner to sales teams through data-driven storytelling and actionable insights for positive client growth and relationship outcomes. You will join a fast-paced cross-vertical team that has a front-row seat for the digital transformation underway across the top advertisers in Canada. You will have the opportunity to develop scalable, client-centered stories built with “only-at-Google” insights to position Google as a strategic thought leader. You will also oversee the development of high quality, end-to-end custom research in order to uncover novel and actionable ideas that optimally position Google’s product offerings and drive business strategies.

- Position Google as a thought leader and present unique and compelling narratives for clients. Lead development of scalable vertical narratives (e.g., CPG vertical) that enable success for the team in priority areas.
 - Lead consumer-focused primary research programs to unlock new growth opportunities for the vertical. Advocate storytelling principles and high-quality visualization, enabling the vertical to elevate their customer conversations.
 - Collaborate closely with peer SILs, account teams, and Heads of Industry to shape an insights calendar, prioritize client opportunities and deliver strategic goals.
 - Navigate and engage demanding stakeholders, stay focused on strategic priorities, and challenge the status quo.
