  • 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 2 years of coding experience in one or more of the following languages C, C++, Java, or Python
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
  • Experience with Workflow Automation, Test Automation, Go.

Global Network Technologies (GNT) team develops the systems, technologies and tools to support Google's global network connecting our data centers and cloud regions to each other and to the users — as part of Google’s Global Networking and Infrastructure (GGN and I) organization.

WANForms team's charter within GNT is to act as a virtual vendor to the rest of GGN providing WAN building blocks with normalized read, write, and operate application programming interfaces that are abstracted across hardware and silicon from leading networking device vendors.

This role is in the WANForms Integration team which is responsible for integration of vendor code with the Google services.

The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

We prioritize security, efficiency, and reliability across everything we do - from developing our latest TPUs to running a global network, while driving towards shaping the future of hyperscale computing. Our global impact spans software and hardware, including Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, the leading AI platform for bringing Gemini models to enterprise customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software that enables the qualification of the integration of Google services with vendor network operating systems for Google Wide Area Network (WAN) Networking products.
  • Design, develop, and run pairwise integration testing (both on-box and in virtual environments).
  • Build frameworks and leverage your networking technology knowledge.
  • Collaborate as an equal partner in framing problems and solutions, being open-minded and considering the problem from many perspectives.
  • Engage in clear communication and respectful collaboration with multiple peers, Uber Tech Leads (UTLs), Tech Leads (TLs), and partners, where good communication and consensus building are critical to success.
