Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, CFA or relevant advanced degree.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams through problem-framing, problem-structuring and project management skills.
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to communicate insights through slides to stakeholders including financial leadership and technical management teams.
  • Ability to grow in a changing environment.
  • Excellent quantitative modeling skills.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

As a part of the Cloud Networking Finance team, we act as mini-Chief Financial Officer (CFO’s) supporting product management and engineering teams. You will contribute to building global products, including cables, machines and programs, sold with value-added features to enable optimal cloud networks for customers. You will partner to deliver profitable products from top to bottom line.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate long-term financial plans, investment strategies and new technology, product launches in partnership with engineering and product leadership.
  • Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, reporting and allocation processes by automating and scaling financial operations.
  • Drive actionable analyses and recommendations for investment prioritization, resource optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Apply business judgment to develop reporting, key performance indicators and construct understanding to optimize infrastructure cost, guide business decisions and inform program, agreement performance.
  • Analyze data sets and collaborate with business and finance stakeholders to solve difficult, non-routine problems by applying advanced analytics methods to develop easy-to-understand financial models with multiple scenarios for evaluating agreements, decisions and overall Profit and Loss (P&L) management.
