Candy Crush was once the greatest puzzle game created. It has morphed over the years to a money trap where the levels are so difficult that they are impossible without adding more moves, which will ultimately cost you money. When you've played (many) levels 200+ times and haven't even gotten close to beating it, you know the level isn't "nightmarishly hard," but designed to be impossible without buying extra moves. Which is also why they will give you up to 255 extra moves if you fail enough.

Lately the game has been cheating me out of wins. It says there's still chocolate or jelly on the board when there isn't. I'm almost at the point where I quit all your games. Cheating mf. Now, in 2024, the game is still fun when they play fair, but they don't. They give you impossible levels with the number of moves given trying to force you to spend money to pass a level. Now I remember why I deleted the game 2 years ago. Garbage.

Really fun at the start, then it drops off hard at the harder levels because the game doesn't have any other helpful or skill-related mechanics, becomes too random and too dependent on money to progress. Replaying levels and collecting stars/crowns has no value. The longer you play the less fun it becomes. Proof is that already more than 60% of players quit around lvl 290 haha
